Carol Yong began her piano lessons at the age of 8 with Mrs Gaily Tay. She completed her Grade 8 practical at the age of 16 in 1993.
In 1996 she gained a flying colours result in her Associate of Trinity College
London examination (Performers) and on 20th November 1998 she gained a High Merit in her graduation recital (Piano Performance).
From Jan. 1997 to Nov. 1998 she studied intensively in Sedaya College with
Mrs Chiang (Pedagogy), Dr P'ng Tien Hwa (Music Theory and Analysis) and
Mr Loo Bang Hean (Piano Performance).
In Sedaya College she joined the instrumental ensemble where she had the
opportunity to play 1st violin and frequently played for the soloists and the choir. Currently she is the pianist for the Royal Academy of Dance ballet examinations in the local ballet school.
Carol enjoys teaching young children therefore she is currently involved in some outbound kinder music projects undertaken by Allegro Music.
