Ensembles, Chamber Music & Choir
Allegro Music & Arts strongly believes in promoting chamber music and ensemble activities as part of nurturing every musician's journey of development. Allegro encourages its students to be involved in the ensembles and choir in order to develop chamber music appreciation as well as providing the opportunity to have fun in music making together with their peers.
The activities that run weekly rehearsals are:
Senior String Ensemble : Mr John Allan
Faculty from the String Department provides regular coaching to the Senior and Junior String Ensembles, as well as Chamber Music groups. These ensembles are well received by student involvements as they work towards performing opportunities provided by the school.
Junior String Ensemble : Ms Alla Yanisheva
Chamber Music : Ms Alla Yanisheva
Choir : Ms Belinda Tan
Dedicated tutors from the Keyboard, Wind and Vocal Departments also provide professional coaching for keyboard ensembles (works for 4 hands and 6 hands) and wind bands, as well as lead the children's choir on a weekly basis.
For students who seek an all rounded music education, taking part in the music activities every Saturday will definitely benefit their growth in musicianship and also allow them to make new friends through music.
